Itinerary
Day 1 — Puno / Uros Floating Islands / Taquile Island / Puno
- 7:00 am: Pick-up from your hotel in Puno and transfer to the main port to board the Jumbo Catamaran.
- 7:30 am: Board the catamaran and enjoy a warm folkloric welcome featuring traditional Puno dances and music. You can join the dancing or take photos with the performers before departure.
- 8:00 am: Begin the navigation across Lake Titicaca. During the journey, your guide will introduce you to the history, geography, and traditions of the highest navigable lake in the world.
- 8:30 am: Arrive at the Uros Floating Islands, where a local family will welcome you and explain their traditional way of life. Learn about the construction and maintenance of the islands using totora reeds and their traditional fishing practices.
- 10:00 am: Continue by boat toward Taquile Island, enjoying the scenery of Lake Titicaca along the way.
- 12:00 pm: Arrive at Taquile Island and begin a guided walk along its stone paths, passing traditional agricultural terraces and enjoying panoramic views of the lake.
- 1:00 pm: Visit the main community area and learn about Taquile’s traditions, music, customs, and internationally recognized textile culture.
- 1:30 pm: Enjoy a traditional lunch prepared with local ingredients while taking in the views of Lake Titicaca.
- 2:15 pm: Free time to explore the area, purchase local handicrafts, and enjoy the island’s landscapes.
- 2:45 pm: Walk down toward the port and board the catamaran for the return journey to Puno.
