Itinerary

  • 4:00 am: Time to hike to Humantay Lagoon! Early pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and departure toward Mollepata, traveling through the Andean countryside.
  • 6:30 am: Arrive in Mollepata and stop for breakfast. Take some time to eat, prepare for the hike and enjoy the surrounding mountain scenery.
  • 7:30 am: Continue by vehicle toward Soraypampa, the starting point of the hike, reaching approximately 3,900 m / 12,795 ft.
  • 8:30 am: Begin the hike toward Humantay Lagoon. The trail climbs steadily through high-altitude terrain, with views of the surrounding mountains, glaciers and Andean landscapes.
  • 10:00 am: Arrive at Humantay Lagoon (4,250 m / 13,944 ft), where you’ll have time to rest, take photos and enjoy the turquoise waters surrounded by the peaks of the Andes.
  • 11:00 am: Begin the descent back to Soraypampa, following the same trail and taking time to appreciate the changing scenery on the way down.
  • 12:30 pm: Arrive back at Soraypampa and board the vehicle toward Mollepata.
