Itinerary

  • 9:00 am: Time to explore Cusco! Pick-up from your hotel and begin the tour with your professional guide, heading first to Qorikancha, the Temple of the Sun.
  • 9:15 am: Arrive at Qorikancha and enjoy a guided visit of approximately 45 minutes. Explore one of the most important temples of the Inca Empire and discover the layers of Inca and Spanish history preserved in its architecture.
  • 10:00 am: Leave Qorikancha and travel by vehicle toward the archaeological sites located on the outskirts of Cusco.
  • 10:30 am: Arrive at Sacsayhuaman, one of the most impressive Inca archaeological complexes in the region. Enjoy a guided visit of approximately one hour while exploring its enormous stone walls and panoramic views over Cusco.
  • 11:30 am: Continue to Q’enqo, a ceremonial and ritual site carved into a natural rock formation. Explore its carved stone surfaces and underground passages while learning about its religious significance.
  • 12:00 pm: Continue by vehicle to Puca Pucara, known as the “Red Fortress.” Explore the remains of this former military and administrative complex and enjoy views over the surrounding valley.
  • 12:30 pm: Visit Tambomachay, also known as the “Bath of the Inca,” where you’ll see the stone canals, aqueducts and fountains that demonstrate the Incas’ advanced knowledge of water management.
  • 1:00 pm: Begin the return journey to Cusco, with transportation back toward the city center and your hotel.
  • 1:30 pm (approx.): Arrive back at your hotel in Cusco, marking the end of your half-day city tour.
