Making a Reservation and Payment of Your Deposit

1. In order to make a reservation for a tour or trek with Velflor Travel Peru, the client is required to make a deposit as indicated for each tour. The deposit can be made through PayPal or VISA, which will incur a 5.5% PayPal or Visa merchant fee paid by the traveler. This deposit is non-refundable.

Upon making a reservation, regardless of the reservation method, Velflor Travel Peru assumes that the client has read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

2. The reservation order becomes final on the date that Velflor Travel Peru receives the client’s deposit. Upon receipt of the deposit, a compulsory contract is in place between the client and Velflor Travel Peru.

3. All people named on the reservation order are committed to the contract with Velflor Travel Peru. The person who signs the contract is regarded as having permission from all persons whose names are on the reservation order. This confirms that all these people are fully aware of and accept the Terms and Conditions of Velflor Travel Peru.

4. We require a non-refundable deposit, as mentioned above, along with your personal details, including full name, passport number, gender, nationality, and date of birth, at the time of making the reservation.

Student Discount

1. According to Peruvian Law, you must be under 18 years of age at the time of your trek, tour, or visit to Machu Picchu. Students aged 18 and above require a valid ISIC card. For example, if you book a trek at the age of 17 but turn 18 before your trek, you do not qualify for a student discount.

2. All students from 12 to 17 years old receive a $30 discount.

3. Children from 2 to 12 years old receive a $40 discount.

4. Children from 0 to 2 years old travel free.

5. All students must provide a copy of their passport at the time of booking to receive the student discount.

Holiday or Election Increments

An extra charge of $35 USD per person applies to all treks, regardless of group, private option, or group size, starting on any of the following dates:

• Christmas: December 22, 23, 24, and 25
• New Year: December 29, 30, 31, and January 1

An extra charge is also applicable if a trek departs during election days. Peruvians may be fined if they do not vote.

We use the extra charge to pay staff a bonus for working during holidays or to cover fines related to voting obligations.

Final Payment Terms

The remaining balance will be paid at our office in Cusco at least 2 days before your tour start date. However, it can also be paid in advance through PayPal or VISA with a 5.5% merchant fee paid by the traveler.

Please notify us if paying by PayPal or Visa.

At our office, we accept both U.S. and Peruvian currency of any denomination. We do not accept torn bills.

If you are not arriving in Cusco 2 days before your tour begins, please arrange your payment with the Velflor Travel Peru team before your arrival.

Cancellation Policy for Treks and Tours

Notification

Notification of cancellation must always be made in writing by the person who made the booking and paid the deposit to info@velflortravelperu.com.

Deposits

Our policy for deposits for our treks and tours is that they are 100% non-refundable. There are no exceptions due to the significant expenses involved in purchasing permits, entrance tickets, and making deposits for reservations or services.

These costs may be non-changeable, non-transferable, and non-refundable according to government regulations and supplier policies.

Cancellation Fees if the Tour Is Paid in Full Before Arriving in Cusco

1. Cancel eight weeks or more before the date of your departure: cancellation fees are equal to the amount of your deposit.

2. Cancel eight weeks to four weeks before the date of your departure: 60% of the total tour or trek price is due.

3. Cancel four weeks to five days before the date of your departure: 80% of the total tour or trek price is due.

4. Cancel five days to 48 hours before the date of your departure: 90% of the total tour or trek price is due.

5. Cancel less than 48 hours before the date of your departure: 100% of the total tour or trek price is due.

6. Cancellation of a trek during the trek is 100% non-refundable unless Velflor Travel Peru is determined to be at fault.
