Itinerary
DAY 1
After breakfast we pick you up to go to Chivay, approximately 4 to 5 hours, by the current road from Arequipa, Juliaca, Puno, Cusco. Our first stop is at 3,900 meters above sea level in the national reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca known as Pampa Cañahuas. Continuing with this tour we take a detour to the Colca Valley. The second stop is at a restaurant at 4,000 meters above sea level. Here passengers can use the restrooms and also drink a coca tea (NOT INCLUDED). Here you can look at the Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu from the back and observe the forest of stones, rock formations shaped like trees. We continue the trip, a stop is made in the pampa of Toccra. Here there are lagoons, water from the subsoil. Here you can observe llamas, alpacas and local muleteers, also some Andean birds.
The fourth stop is the viewpoint of the Andes, known as Pata Pampa. It is at 4,900 meters above sea level and is the highest place of the whole trip here you can see 8 volcanoes that form a circle of fire. From here we descend to Chivay, the most important town in the Colca Valley. Chivay is 3,650 meters above sea level. Arriving in Chivay we will have time for lunch. After lunch, the guide will take you to your hotel and in the afternoon you will meet the guide to go to the hot springs, called la Calera. After la Calera you will return to your hotel to spend the night.
DAY 2
After breakfast, at 6.30 – 07:00 hrs in the morning the guide together with the transportation will be picking you up from your hotel, then you will take a road with a beautiful view of the Colca Valley with its terraces for an hour and a half walk to the Cruz del Condor, from where you can observe the Colca Canyon and the flight of the Condors. After enjoying the Colca Canyon and the flight of the Condor return by the same road to Chivay, but we will make some stops, the first stop is in the village of Pinchollo. The second stop is at the Huayra Punko viewpoint. Where you have a magnificent view of the entire Colca Valley. The third stop is the viewpoint of Antahuilque where you can see the terraces in the form of an amphitheater and the mysterious lagoons of the Colca Valley. The fourth stop is the village of Maca. The fifth optional stop is the town of Yanque with its church, the most beautiful of the Colca Valley. Then we return to Chivay where we will have time for lunch. Then we take you to your hotel and you will have the rest of the afternoon free.
DAY 3
You will have the morning free and at noon we will pick you up from your hotel to return to Arequipa. Arriving around 04:00pm, ending our service at your hotel.
